iv read "THE DA VINCI CODE" before. though i can't quite remember exactly when. it was way back during the first term. i borrowed icka's book. i remember being so engrossed with reading the book. reading it in between and even during classes, reading it while on the bus to and from school, reading it at home, in the cafeteria, even in the library. . i just loved reading it. when i finally got to finish it, just like every other book i enjoyed, i went "ayyy, tapos na?"... hehe.

when i heard that they were going to make a movie out of it, i was ecstatic! i couldn't wait for it to come out. . . so i waited. i lived my life, and i waited. . .

then..

just a few hours ago, at around 5:20pm, i found myself feeling desperate and anxious as i waited through the terrible Ayala traffic inside an FX taxi. the movie tickets that Maple and Mhakie bought were for 5:50 so i'd better hurry up or die! (hehe) when the driver told me to go down near landmark, i rushed and walked as fast as i could to get to cinema5 of glorietta.(maple was rushing me, haha). i was very thirsty too, having just finished hosting the LPEP day2 of COS and CED, so within a flash, i bought a drink and some fries then pushed my way amidst the tons of people lining up just to get to the entrance of cinema 5. then i saw mac(thanx sa treat!ayihee) and he handed me my ticket. the guard even checked me for and id to prove that im eighteen already. and in my joy, i even said that i just had my debut a few days ago. hahaha. . . . then i got in. yahuuu! and just in time too.

the movie was great!. . .i think that that pretty much sums it up. it was a very fulfilling experience to actually see the things that i visualized in my imagination. though of course since it's a book-turned-into-a-movie.. some parts of the novel got edited out. but that was expected. though the main gyst of the story was there still together with the suspense, the action and the ooooh's and aaaahhhh's.. (my imagination was still better though.haha)

i was especially happy with seeing the sceneries.. the locations.. the historical places.. i remember wishing that i could visit them someday. =)

i even tried to watch the movie pretending that i haven't read the book, and still i found it good. it was exciting and very thought-provoking. though of course let us remember that it is just FICTION. . . but i was worried for those who really haven't read the book, i hope they understood things.

anyways, let's congratulate the producers of this film because by the way it was publicized, talked and debated about and by looks of all the people who lined up just to watch it one the premier date(di lang sa g4 ah, kahet sa atc din dwa), i would safely assume that the film is a success. . . big bucks are sure to roll in. haha. people around the globe are making such a fuss about the book and the movie too. but it's not worth it. all it causes is adding more publicity for both the book and the film. so yey for the royalties! hahaha. . .

lessons:
* watch a movie. it's fun.
* be open-minded when watching books-turned-movies. movies and books are not the same!
* read books. they're fun and very fulfilling!
* make sure u arrive in time (like me. haha)
* if a labidoods is not present, bring a jacket coz its cold inside the movie house. haha
* wag masyadong damdamin ang librong ito, hindi nmn nakakasira ng faith. duh
